So I found myself in another fan forum. The topic of over used plot devices has become the hot topic for Ichigo's wins. My point is why make his inevidetable wins so freakishly obvious and having the author hand desend to pull Ichigo's ass out the fire? Why write your character into a corner like that only to have some kind deus ex machina saving the day?
I tend not to desend into the realm of extreme-emotional fangirls/boys, because decent conversations ends with "you suck" or some negative dismisal. I should have left my comment at one, but one particular memember was being rather rude to other posters that had valid posts and examples to support their opinions. I have a low tolorance for that type of behavior and will not put up with that. If only I was a mod. LOL!
Of course I could be cynical and call a spade a spade, but I'm try to say it in the nicest way possible. Kubo has hit a wall in the inspirational department. So our current arc reads like a "purgtory/limbo" for the plot. There are few gems in there but NOT enough to save it overall. I'm just be glad when this arc is over with because its a dead story arc.
We can't say "oh Ichigo gonna win because he's the main hero!"--That may be the author's intent and goal, but it's the author job make his reader believe the hero has more then just that going for him/her.

To those that are on Bleach Asylum I go by "Maddcb"

This is pure bullshit! How the hell are the top THREE espadas are getting their asses kicked by people OTHER then Son Goku..err I mean Ichigo? The so called "top 3" haven't done anything to warrent their ranks. I'm not impressed really. That "new form" that ichigo took was completly haxed! Okay maybe old king Barry(espada #2) should keep his rank, but shark girl(Espada#3) needs to ranked lower because she getting her watery ass handed to her by little punk kid. Look don't give me the "token female" in the all guy Espada group just to show me how weak she is. Don't hype me up over her rank then let me down. Sorry Espada #3 you where created just for fanservice, you served no role other then being the puching bag for a little MALE boy-captian. All your power is mute because you're a female.
Really, why put females in the story anyway, if they are going be "damsels in distress", or have all this power and be made weak so a male character can grow in strength. Really! fuck you! Then you take a really cool ass character like Ulquorria that actually has some chracter depth only to kill him off with some "Super sajin x 200!" hex power up for the Ichigo. Really, did it have to go there? He killed Ichigo the first time around, didn't even really spend all that time monologing. He got right to the point and killed him. That's what i like about him. He is direct and doesn't waste time.
So far NONE of the good guys have remained DEAD after they were killed. Even the ones completely in the background are popping up like daisies. I guess thats due to the fact if they move up a few notches in the popuality polls they get some screen time and a face off with all powerful baddies.

That's what pissing me off, the lack of deaths on the good guy side. Really, you can't kill off ONE of the 90,000+ good guys? Yet the badies get a few pages a boom *DEAD* by some ridiculous plot jedi trick? I'm really tired of the one-sideness of this "War" in Bleach. I think I'm now done with Bleach at least until something interesting pops up in the storyline. Now that Ulqi is out of the picture, kinda pointless to keep watching the rest of match ups because I know what's going to happen. Every baddie is killed and stays the fuck dead, but no real losses for the good guys to do anything serious. Not like they have anything to lose.

The space that I'm looking at can only be used during the evening because its public space open durning the day. *sigh*
Birmingham ALABAMA: Police beating

I'll like to share something with you guys and the state of affairs happening in my state and Birmingham, Al. The legacy lives on as five police officers decided to beat an unresponive "suspect". Regardless if the suspect lead police on a high speed chase that nearly ran over a policeman, DOES NOT grant the police the right to go that far. I like you to all know this beating happened January 2008! this tape has been circulating around the department for a whole year, and the suspect's defense was only given the edited version of the beating, as the part with the beating was edited out! Only until this year when the suspect trial was coming up and the DA asked for the original tape did the unedited version was turned in. Police tampered with evidence, and the comments I read on the net surrounding this story clearly proves that assholes work for the police and there are racist assholes that help keep them in employ. Thankfully, the new police chief fired all that were involved including the superviors that knew about this. The mayor has given the DA permission to go after all that were involved with this including anyone that has "retired". Police are not held accountable to anything. Only recently do SOME places make a point to record police interrogations, its not a Federal law. It should be! I don't like the police, but I see the purpose of having a police force, but if the people that suppose to uphold the law abuse it then what good is the system?
I'm glad those cops were fired, they give the good cops a bad name. I know a few decent cops but from my experience the bad out number the good.

<lj-embed id="14" />

YES WE CAN!

What can I say!
I'm still crying! My grandparents and my mom's generation lived to see this day! The day of the beginning of Martin Luther King Jr's Dream! People looked pasted his skin color and voted for someone with character(McCain has character too! I give him credit also), but Obama proved that regardless of your background, race, beliefs,etc, one can rise to the challenge and make a difference. I mean, I can finally say with all truth, that YES WE CAN! Yes, my children CAN BE PRESIDENT or anything that they want to be, truly.
I'm still very emotional about it, and I can understand if some folks don't "really" get it, but the fact remains WE ARE A PART of HISTORY!!!! WE are really trying to carry out the "Dream". Yes, we can! I'm so proud of my country men. We stood united and this gives me hope in us as nation.

To all my lj friends, I'm heading to D.C in January to see our President sworn in. I encourage all you to make the time to go. Live in this moment. Wow, I'm apart of history
